Veronica Sevilla leads the helm in the destination’s strategic planning for tourism promotion and development with the objective of increasing tourism arrivals, spending, promote longer stays, and drive investment and tourism development to the destination.
With an outstanding professional trajectory in strategic marketing and tourism, Sevilla has extensive experience in the development of tourism companies in multiple Latin-American countries. Her multiphasic experience also includes implementation of business, strategy and commercial plans. Sevilla held managing positions and provided consulting services for international communications and marketing campaigns for various companies such as Casa Gangotena, a luxury boutique hotel in Quito; Mashpi Lodge, property located in the heart of the Andean cloud forest; and Republic of Cacao – Ecuador, one of the country’s finest chocolate producers, amongst others.
Sevilla graduated from Ecuador’s Technical University of Loja with a bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences and Religion and holds a master’s degree in Tourism Management from the Technological University of Monterrey in Mexico.
